i Was told today that i would do great in network marketing, what exactly is this, how do i get started building a business, like the very first step, please dont refer me to websites, unless they will give me step by step on exactly 100% how to do it. please answer me only if you have complete knowledge. Thank you!

Simply put it’s referral marketing. You become a distributor for a company. You sell the product/service and get paid for it. You also recruit others to do the same and you earn overrides from their sales. The basic concept is this. We recommend things to others every day. We just don’t get paid for it. Most people will never be a great salesperson, but everyone can recommend something and make a few sales. By recruiting others you are building a team of other people who can make a few sales. Eventually you have a lot of people each doing a little bit and it adds up to a significant income.

As for how to start most people will say just sign up and make a list of people you know then present the info to them. I disagree. The first step is to find the right company. There are lots of network marketing companies out there. Some are good, some are bad and some are really just ponzi schemes disguised as network marketing. There are lots of fly by night and me too companies out there. It is very important to choose a stable company with a real product or service that you can believe in and that gives people more value than what they pay for it. If you would not buy a product if there were no business opportunity attached to it then that is not the company for you. I’ve written an article on how to evaluate network marketing opportunities (general info, doesn’t recommend a specific company). Email me if you want the link to it. I can also suggest several stable companies worth looking into.

After you’ve found the right company and signed up you need to plug in to the system. A good network marketing company will have a simple, duplicatable system that is idiot proof. Actually sometimes idiots do better, because they just follow the simple instructions rather than thinking they are smarter than anyone else and trying to reinvent the wheel. Your sponsor or someone in your upline should be there to "hold your hand" in the beginning stages of your business and walk you through the steps of building your business and teach you that system. As you grow your business and begin to feel more comfortable with it they should still be there to support you as needed. The first thing your sponsor and the system will teach you is to contact everyone you know and share the info about your new business with them. They will teach you how exactly to go about doing that. You want to do it in a way that they don’t feel that you are just calling to sell them something and just reject you without even looking at the info. You may invite them to a presentation at your home, give them a DVD or CD, send them to a website, take them to a professional lunch presentation or evening presentation at a local meeting room, etc. After you get going your sponsor will let you know which specific tools your company has available and how to use them. After that you will learn how to prospect for new customers and distributors while you are out doing the things you normally do.

Any advise about other resources for online business marketing and promoting my phone on line services without having to invest in a website? Would typepad, blogging pages or audio acrobat , teleconferencing sites be of use. It seems there are alot of add ons for websites that you can incorporate into your website but i dont have the money to do it all. could you recommend an online marketing and business tool to get my life coaching and affiliate project out on the internet without a full web? or Is there a reasonable web resource that includes the interactive stuff like audio , teleconferecing and ezines?

You don’t need to give up on having a website because of money.
There are several free host providers where you can easily set up a website. Here are some of them:

www.freewebs.com
www.biz.ly
www.bravenet.com
www.doteasy.com
www.50webs.com
www.freehostia.com

I think that Blogging is a good idea and it’s free. Depending on your product, Ebay is also a good option.

I suggest you do a Google search for audio and teleconference resources, I think you’ll find some for free.

I am looking for ways, low cost/no cost, to market myself in the community as a new hair stylist. I currently am delivering fliers house to house. This has shown a slow trickle of clientel. Anyone else have an idea on how I can gain clients faster? The salon is brand new as well and the owner doesn’t have a big budget for advertising. Veteran stylists please help!
Just to give everyone a little more background. I currently do run specials through coupons for the first visit. The salon I work in is a Salon and Day Spa. The clients tend to be middle to upper class. I am really hoping to find out how current stylists filled their books without help from the salon they worked at.
I also do referral program at the moment. Where I discount the person who gathers more business for me. ie 10 dollars off the next service

Have you considered a referral program… offer anyone who refers others to you a discount for referring others. Let’s say you do five cuts a day now… if you were to ask each of those five people to refer even two people your clientel has now just tripled… if each of those tell just two people… imagine how many you could have in a few months. You could give each customer five cards to distribute to their friends and family, with their name on them- the cards could offer a discounted price for their first cut… then when you receive ALL five of the cards back the person who handed out the card would receive a free or 1/2 price hair cut… this way you are not just giving out a bunch of free cuts with the hopes of getting repeat business. (Many people like to receive a discount as a thank-you, and would be willing to refer a few friends to receive something for free.

I know that is the basic concept of most work from home opportunities… the one I am involved with offers a 30-40% discount to all it’s members and pays those who refer others very well for supporting and promoting the company.Of course the fact that they have incredible, safer products that are needed by just about everyone everyday also helps.

So my suggestion to you is to make sure you give the best cuts, at reasonable prices and offer incentives to have current customers refer others to use your services as well…. you’ll be amazed at how word of mouth advertising can grow your business…
