New Business Ideas & Business Plan Examples and more!

As you read these words, there are millions of people making a full time income on the internet, working part time hours from the comfort of their own home. These people set their own working hours, live where ever they choose and have a ton of spare time to spend with their family, friends and simply do things they love to do.

Does this sound like something you would like to be doing? Of course it is!

Here are some of the main reasons most people decide to start an online business:
– It takes very little money to start

Unlike an offline business, an online business does not need a lot of start up money. All you need is an idea, a domain name, internet access and hosting, all of which can be bought for under $100!
– You choose when you work

Who says you must work from 9 to 5 everyday? The Internet Business is the biggest proof why the statement “working from 9 to 5″ is no longer true. With an Internet Business, you don’t have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning so that you can get to work by 9am, anymore. You can start work at anytime since you are your own boss!
– Work from the comfort of your own home

Where you put your computer is where you will be working! And since you’re going to be working from home, you will be saving at least two hours of your time each day by not having to travel to and from your work place during rush hours when everybody else is going to work or heading for home. That means you will be saving at least 730 hours a year! Wouldn’t you shudder at the thought of wasting 730 hours a year doing nothing productive?
– With the internet, the whole world is your market!

By sitting in front of the computer, everyone in the world is now within your three feet. You leverage on free or low cost software and hardware and the Internet Infrastructure, all of which when combined will give you leveraging power that far exceeds any conventional business, allowing you to achieve more and more with less and less work!
– You can fully automate your online business

If properly set up, some Internet Business models can be fully automated.
– No need to work 8 hours a days every single day

Once you can automate your Internet Business in some way, you can use the time you saved to start another Internet Business, improve your existing business, or spend anyhow you like. You just spend the time online checking your mail religiously, promoting and expanding your business, all in front of your computer. And there is absolutely no need to spend even more than four hours online.
– Spend more time with family and friends

Owning an Internet Business gives you the privilege to have more time to spend with your family, or watch your children grow up. This is what most busy parents crave for. If you are one of them, then you will do well to seriously consider starting an Internet Business.
– Your online business can be all about your hobbies and passions

Now, this is my favorite reason for anybody wanting to start an Internet Business! The Internet Business allows your passion and dream to come to life, which is also the most important component of businesses of any kind.
– Online businesses have very little expenses

Believe it or not, some Internet Businesses can be set up and running at zero cost, if not very low. Other Internet Businesses can run with monthly operational expenses so low that they are negligible!
– You can have more than one!

Since the cost of setting up and running an Internet Business is so low, and you can automate their operations, you can operate multiple Internet Businesses as a one person Internet Business owner. You don’t need to hire employees since your Internet Business system is doing most of the job, if not all. It works 24/7 for you. It won’t call in sick. It won’t give any excuses. And it definitely won’t blame you if it ever had worldly problems!
– The internet is a huge market (the whole world) and it’s getting bigger as you read these words

According to the Computer Industry Almanac, there will be 1.07 billion in 2005. Now, is there any doubt that a 1.07 billion user pool is a very attractive target given the leverage you have on the Internet?

Given all the wonderful reasons for starting your own Internet Business, I am sure that by now you have already made up your mind whether starting an Internet Business is for you.

It is essential to devise the right marketing strategies for the expansion of your business. You need to market your services or products well so that it gets sold. Well-marketed products usually have high sales because the promoters perform their work efficiently. As a promoter, if you are able to find out the answers to the basic questions that determine the success of business, it becomes relatively easy to attract customers. The marketing plan you will devise will be the basis of the success or failure of your business venture. But this will always depend on how carefully you have planned out everything. It is essential to write and communicate your marketing strategies in a simple manner so that the aims are conveyed in a nutshell.

There are several professional business consultancy services that can assist promoters in this field. They can help by creating and developing a vision for the company or the organization through the identification of the strengths of the business, and the areas where it can be improved. They are also good at finding the loopholes in business-related strategies and modifying them for achieving the goals that have been set.

Hence, as a business owner, you need to view consultants as a marketing partner. They can offer simple yet important advice on the business tactics that you can follow, after studying the trends prevailing in the market. The suggestions they give are based on the analysis of the market they have done. Some of the factors that consultants consider when they compile a market report are the habits and purchasing power of the consumers, and the competition that new businesses are likely to face in a specific area.

Thus, consultants can help you to determine the feasibility of the business you own, and consequently act as marketing partners for you. They will advise you after weighing the pros and cons of various business strategies. They also offer an array of services which include advice on starting a business, analysis of the operations, formulation of marketing strategies, making of business plans, and even management consultation.

Expert consultancy services can help you in increase productivity of the business manifold you have. Through this you can concentrate on the management and other services that are related to the business. Services like these are customized and personalized according to the satisfaction of the users. Besides the development of strategies relate to marketing, the consultants also take on the responsibility of marketing it. This can be done in many ways like promoting it through advertising in public places by the creation of television ads that are catchy, or offering incentives to buyers when they purchase products of the company.

Strategies related to E-commerce marketing are also getting popular these days, since they are a low-cost method to advertise. There are several specialized business consultants who are responsible for developing websites on the Internet for companies and implementing effective strategies for the creation of traffic, for generating revenues for the company. So the best thing is hiring a personal marketing partner who can help you to formulate the right strategies, and provide the right direction, so that your business venture is a huge success.

I re-visit business ideas and working options for a recession. I also re-visit Professor Paul Zane Pilzer’s earlier predictions.

Earlier this year I wrote about why I believe home based internet businesses will soar over the next few years. As it turned out the title was a little misleading as I got side-tracked into putting forward ideas set out by Professor Paul Zane Pilzer. Pilzer has the uncanny knack of accurately predicting economic trends and has been doing so for over 20 years. Despite the slightly misleading title this article has been read by hundreds of people.

What I had intended to communicate was that the economic downturn – it wasn’t a recession then – would bring thousands of people to the internet looking for information on developing business ideas for a recession. The reason being that more and more people would begin to see the necessity of developing multiple streams of income to secure their financial future.

I used ideas from Professor Pilzer to support and encourage this. Some of these ideas included the assertion that the economy was in great shape. In fact, he said, it was in the middle of its greatest growth spurt in history.

Another of Pilzer’s assertions was that the age of the corporation, barely a century old, was now giving way to the age of the individual entrepreneur. He predicted that the economies of scale, which supported large corporations, no longer applied. Because of this, huge corporations were splitting up into smaller units. Taken further this meant that individual entrepreneurs would now accumulate the wealth that would have gone to the corporations. This would create 10 million millionaires over the next 10 years (US alone).

Now you could see the logic in that provided the economy was indeed going through its greatest growth spurt in history. But is it?

Answer. Yes it is. What is happening at the moment is part of the dismantling of the large corporations. Admittedly, it is extremely painful for many people with more pain to come.

However, this is your opportunity as an individual entrepreneur to step forward and claim your share of the wealth.

But how?

Well Paul Zane Pilzer was particularly talking about the network marketing field for these business ideas. However, he also mentioned the speed of technological change and the opportunity that arises for you if you can close the technology gap. It is his belief that the internet has barely gotten started.

As an internet entrepreneur, whether internetwork or online marketing, you have this tremendous opportunity to help others into this field. As the recession bites even harder, millions of people worldwide will look to you to get them started. This will create residual income for your lifetime.

Internetwork marketing is the new term for MLM that is properly done by use of the internet and Attraction Marketing. Another of Pilzer’s observations, and this has been said by a number of the great entrepreneurs, is that your wealth is rewarded directly in proportion to the number of people with whom you are willing to share.

This is exactly what internetwork marketing is about and is how residual income is generated. However, this can apply equally to other types of online business.

One of Paul Zane Pilzer’s most telling comments was: “… today, working for yourself is actually the safer route, and working for a corporation has become the riskier proposition.”

No matter who we want to blame, there are thousands and thousands of displaced workers around the globe who would agree with this observation. Change has come. Business ideas are changing. Working options are changing.

Step forward to claim your share of the wealth.

I have looked many times for a forum where business owners can exchange information etc. I have found that even magazines with an online presence don’t have a good one. If you really need advice and assistance, look offline. The best resources you can get will be in your local community. You should have some kind of small buiness centre sponsored by the government. There is also your local Chamber of Commerce. I found there was so little help out there, I now promote my own business services online.

I have been in business for many years and I specifically help new businesses put together their business plan, get their marketing and sales programs organized, and even design and print their marketing materials and ad materials. I am also about 30% less than the cost of most other services like mine. We sell our services on ebay and in our local community. Check out my website at www.dubois-sbms.com, if you want some more information. (Sorry for the self-promotion but I know how frustrating it can be to find help online for business advice from real people, so I now sell my regular services online to help fill that gap)

Good luck with your new venture.

If you are ready to start a business from home, then you are undoubtedly wondering how to go about it in a way that will keep you sane, allow you to make some money, yet that keeps it easy on the finances so that you will not be tempted to run up your credit cards in an effort to stay afloat. There are some simple steps you can take when you are ready to start a business from home:

Do not quit your day job. Yes, it is tempting to do so right away and jump into your business with both feet, but remember that until the money comes in, you will still need to pay your bills! So instead of quitting your jobs altogether, go ahead and see if you can cut your hours, and perhaps work part time. If things go well with your business, you can go ahead and quit your job; on the other hand, if things do not go as well as you anticipated, or if perhaps you decide against running a business at this time, you can increase your hours again to full time status.

Save up some money. When you start a business from home, there will be some expenses you will need to be able to pay. Perhaps you need to get permits or licenses, or maybe you simply need to buy some equipment. It is tempting to go ahead and use your credit cards to get started, or if the expenses are great to take out a second mortgage on your home. Do not give in to these temptations, instead, go ahead and save up some money to use it for these reasons.

Create a workspace you will enjoy. Depending on which kind of home business you will start, you will need to have a suitable work area. Make sure that the work area you have mapped out for yourself meets your needs; after all, you will be spending quite a bit of time there!

Create a marketing plan. Whether you are selling a good or service, you want to make sure to get the word out. Networking is important, but do not underestimate the power of email signatures, business cards, and handing out freebies and coupons!

Enjoy your business! You have probably decided to start the business because you want to do something you love and because you want to spend more time with your friends and family. Go ahead and enjoy your business and resist the urge to overwork yourself, especially in the beginning! You do not want to suffer from burnout!

These tips and tricks should help you to start a business from home, keep your sanity, and make it an all around enjoyable process!

When I first got licensed to sell real estate I was about as clueless as they come, but what I lacked in knowledge and ability I made up for in desire to learn and willingness to learn. So, I went to school after finishing real estate school.

No, not a school with a sit down classroom, but school in the sense that I started asking questions of veteran agents and watching what they did and said. I turned off my mouth after a while and opened up my eyes and ears and learned more doing that than I did while getting licensed.

For example, I learned that Real Estate Lead Generators abound, and everyday I was presented with opportunities that had I not been tuned in to pay attention to would have gone overlooked.

Here’s a case in point with respect to business cards. I don’t remember exactly how many business cards came with my first order, but I vaguely remember it being 500-1,000 cards. A year later I still had most of them. It was the craziest thing that I could have done!

Think about it! Instead of making it a point to give them away as fast as I could I was actually rationing them out like I didn’t want to unload them.

Don’t make that mistake! Business cards are great real estate lead generators and should be given out as freely as you would a glass of water to a thirsty person. And that’s just what real estate prospects are. Thirsty to make real estate transactions with real estate agents sharp enough to recognize the opportunities.

Admittedly, I wasn’t too sharp back then, but as I got smarter I realized the value of handing 3-4 business cards to everybody I came in contact with-and I mean everybody; my kids teachers, my doctor, your doctor, the school crossing card, my mechanic, dentist, etc.

And then there were the scores of counter tops that I encountered everyday. Grocery store counters, dry laundry counters, fast food pickup counters, counters where I paid the cable bill, bought computer stuff, book counters, etc.

Oh, and less I forget I must have passed by hundreds of billboards without placing one business card, real estate flyer or anything else on it. My stomach still knots up when I think of all the money those wasted opportunities cost me.

But like I said, I’m a lot smarter now (okay, so maybe I’m just older) and can pass on some pearls of wisdom to you so that you can avoid some of the mistakes I made. For example, some other real estate generating ideas include:

Real Estate Leads from Contractor and Home Builder Shows.
Real Estate Contractor and Home Building shows are becoming extremely popular among folks who are looking to build their home or are considering having one custom-built themselves. Getting Real Estate Leads from them is a great a strategy that’s easy to implement.

Real Estate Closing Gifts; Small Gifts That Lead To More Referrals and Sales.
Many Real Estate Agents think of real estate closing gifts as something that should be given to the home buyer by his or her close family and friends. The gift serves as an accolade for the person’s accomplishment. You can design them yourself if you’re the creative type, or simply go out and buy one from your local shopping mall.

Free Website Content; Using Free Content To Generate Leads.
Everything you need to know to build a realtor web site and generate leads is available on the Internet, much of it free to little cost-including website content! In fact, some of the best real estate information I’ve read has been free, and although locating quality free content for publication and turning them into HTML to publish on your web site each week involves a great deal of time and effort it can be worth the effort.

I could go on and on, but it all comes back to the notion that real estate lead generating ideas are around us all day, everyday. If you pay attention to them you can work them to your advantage, but if you impose your will with them you can dominate your market like no other agent in your community.

Well, setting up your home office the right way makes a big difference in your business success outcome. You may or may not agree, but it has made an impact in my experience and many others I have talked with.

For example, you are talking with a prospect and you need your business partner to speak with them, but you don’t have 3-way calling setup on your phone system.
