I’ve recently moved to a smaller community so my traditional door-to-door approach isn’t going to work here. I’d like to get some new marketing ideas for my bookkeeping business. Please share with me your ideas on how you would approach this type of business from a marketing stand point.

It sounds like you’re looking for clients – I would both look on and post on Craigslist. A lot of the people looking for employees (even if NOT a bookkeeper) will acknowledge in their post "new business" or something to that effect – that means you should cold call them (bring references, and when you have local references, those are even better), b/c if their new they probably need a bookkeeper as well!
