I am finding that I am not a 9 to 5, answer-to-the-boss kind of person. I am willing to put in the time and work to start my own business, but need help figuring out what to do. I just graduated from college with a degree in Communications, with emphasis in Public Relations, but I don’t want to do public relations. Please help with any creative and innovative ideas. DO NOT respond with scams or get-rich-quick/pyramid schemes.

First, read Barber’s book "The E-Myth" You can find it on Barnes & Noble or on Amazon. It explains why a huge percentage of small businesses fail within the first five years and what to do to prevent it.
If you want to be your own boss, then you need to know how to run a business, do marketing, manage payroll, and sell yourself. Guess what? Lots of public relations.

Yes I agree with Brother Otter.
You have three options.
1. Franchise – very expensive but better success rate
2. Small Biz – at least 50k but high risk of failure within the 1-5 year
3. Home Base Biz – around 200 to start one. Low cost and big reward
Choose wisely.
